Vitiligo is a continual health condition that produces white patches on the skin and spread to the whole body if left untreated. The known cause for this skin condition is the death of melanocytes. This is the skin cell responsible for the color of the skin and even protects the skin from UV rays. Even though the cause remains same; the area affected varies from person to person.

Causes of Vitiligo

  • Genetic oxidative stress imbalance
  • Harmful to skin due to critical cuts and sunburn
  • Exposure to chemicals
  • A viral cause
  • Heredity

There are two types of vitiligo, segmental and non-segmental and the treatment depends on the type you are affected with. While non-segmental patches commonly appear on the sun-exposed area, the segmental vitiligo spreads rapidly and is more constant.
We provide optimal treatment for both the types of vitiligo. The treatment can vary from normal medication to high-end surgeries.
Some of the treatments provided by us include:

  • Creams that control inflammation
  • A form of vitamin D
  • Medication affecting immune system
  • Medication with light therapy
  • Laser therapy
  • Depigmentation
  • Surgery

Along with treating the existing spots, we also guide the patient through vitiligo coping strategies.
